Warning. This edition will be like a Halloween candy bar: short and sweet. Diabetics beware.
Welcome to 2002's final edition of The Prime Says. Since I haven't posted a new edition in a while I'd like to acknowledge the passing of Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Ramadan, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Boxing Day, and Kwanzaa. If you'll permit me to conform with the herd mentality of mindless banality momentarily, I'd like to sheepishly pass on season's bleatings.
If you survived all those holidays you're doing well. If you didn't survive, and you're reading this anyway, please send a photo of yourself reading this to The National Enquirer. I can picture the headlines: "Prime Preferred by People in Purgatory", "Internet Idiots Idolized In Inferno", "Dead Dude Digs Droolers", "Spectre Surfs Song Site", "Harbinger Of Heavenly Hip Hop?". Granted, The National Enquirer isn't Drooling Idiots's typical demographic but a wise man once said "there's no such thing as bad publicity."
While we're all still in the holiday spirit, I should mention that New Year's eve and day are almost upon us. If you're going to be out partying, don't drive after drinking. This has been a public service announcement. I'd do more of them but I've been a good boy and haven't been sentenced to do any.
As usual, I'll be forgoing alcoholic beverages on New Year's eve. I'm hoping for a chocolate milkshake, but you already knew that, didn't you?
2002 has been a good year at droolingidiots.com. There have been 8 editions of The Prime Says and 6 new songs posted. 2003 promises to be even better with several projects lined up and the long anticipated overhaul of D.I. Labs finally in sight. DI.com might even see its 500th hit.
DI.com would like to extend its heartiest congratulations to Michael Spaly and Dave Lempert for completing their educational missions at the University of Michigan. Further, DI.com would like to wish Tracy, the former lead singer of Derringer, the best of luck pursuing a singing career in Music City. We'll miss you at the Diamondback Saloon.
I was going to skip this section but it's become so popular that I couldn't, in good conscience, leave it out entirely. So in keeping with the Halloween candy bar aspect of this edition it will be curtailed. There will be no refrigerator magnet poetry this month, only a haiku and a special New Year's tribute limerick.
The clocks are about to chime.
Grab your glass before it is time.
Lift the chilled cup
That I have filled up
And toast with my cold wang slime!
Delicate rosebud
Sweet by any alias
Destined for plucking
I'm outta here until next year.
Season's beatings,
D.I. Prime
